Is not it quite easy for people to go out and buy a Personal media Player. Of course it is! But why not have your own PMP (Personal Media Player)? It is a cool idea. Besides you can save a few hundred dollars which you would have spent on buying the device from market.
You can make an iPod like device with Micro Touch 2.4 .It does everything that iPod touch does. It can play MP3s but lacks apps. So, if you are a music lover then this is perfect for you. It will allow you to do varieties of things like eBook viewing, gaming, image viewing and anything you can develop for it.
Moreover it is the desired PMP for you and can be of great fun and humor for one. Besides this you can develop the MicroTouch further. But you need to add a lithium storage battery to it which costs $15 extra and a memory card for storage purpose.

• Image viewer: It has been integrated with the hardware. You can just plug in a memory card with some pictures and the device will perform slide shows, do animations and add effects that will show up as some sort of Mini-Applications.
• Calibrate: This is the Touch-screen.
• Doomed: A 3D maze game which all of us have played at some period of time.
• Accelerate: You just need to keep the virtual ball at the center of the screen.
• Paint: Finger-painting but without the cleanup hassle.
• Flip: This is a Reverse game.
• Mines: It is like Minesweeper but without the hassle of installing Windows
• 3D Icosahedrons: A controllable game by board tilting.
• Pacman: A light animation game. Most Of us have been playing it from childhood.
• Lattice: A 3D lattice game application.
The Micro touch which is described above is set up by Arduino and you should know C programming language and its applications and experience working with microcontroller devices to ensure that you can develop it again with some more features added to it. But again do note that just using some basic and interesting apps preloaded and whatever the developers produce may be of great amusement for anybody. Also do not forget that it will be your PMP. You need not go to the market and spend several hundreds of dollars just for buying a suitable media player for you.
