Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey has been chewing up bigger waves since the outset. Every moviegoer is sitting on the edge to wait for the release. Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer Kaminey is being expected hugely, as Vishal’s movies always bring mammoth results at the box office. Since his films are laced with unique subjects – the ones taken from the society, the people normally do not think about. But they are sensitive issues, which need to be discussed. The man, who is a musician basically, directs and scores the music for this flick. Let’s check the music.

1): Dhan Tana (Sukhwinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani)

The soundtrack opens with an electrifying number, ‘Dhan Tana’ that has a rustic feel attached to it. Sukhiwnder Singh and Vishal Dadlani catch the mike to croon the song and raises the blood level in veins with their high pitched beautifully delivered vocals. Lyrics are creative and you love to listen them. Music is simply magical and energetic. The visuals of the song have been running on air featuring Shahid Kapoor in the lead. This is the song, which can be played in clubs, discos, in your room and car. You will surely tap your feet along the tune.

Rating: 9/10

2): Dhan Tana – Remix

The remix version is no less than the original and provides the same pleasures the original endows you with.

Rating: 8.5/10

3): Pehli Baar Mohabbat (Mohit Chauhan)

Mohit Chauhan, who looted listeners’ hearts with the song, ‘Ae Masakali’, comes behind the mike for singing, ‘Pehli Baar Mohabbat’. He attracts with his magical rendition. Vishal knowing Mohit’s talent takes his brilliance out in a manner, which should be loved by all. Lyrics are superb and the music is a treat to be with.

Rating: 8/10

4): Raat Ke Dhai Baje (Suresh Wadikar, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sunidhi Chauhan and Kunal Ganjawala)

The best lot available on Hindi music scene from Suresh Wadikar to Rekha Bhardwaj, Sundhi Chauhan to Kunal Ganjawala has been roped in to sing this number. All spell magic with the crooning. Lyrics personify the mood of the song and the music is simply fabulous.

Rating: 8/10

5): Raat Ke Dhai Baje – Remix

The remix version goes on ears well like the original.

Rating: 7/10
6): Fatak (Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher)

Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher join hands to croon a song, ‘Fatak’. A situational track, it consists of the well-delivered vocals of the vocalists. The fast tempo sends chill through the bodies. The lyrics and music both are well arranged.

Rating: 8/10

7): Kaminey (Vishal Bhardwaj)

Now is the turn of the title track that is sung none other than by the man himself Vishal Bhardwaj. Vishal shows his class from his adroit singing. It’s not a fast paced or brash kind of song rather is a slow and mellow number. Lyrics are gorgeous and so is the music.

Rating: 8.5/10

8): Go Charlie Theme

Concluding track is ‘Go Charlie Theme’. In this number, the tune of Dhan Tana is reworked. A two minutes piece of music, it will surely help you to stay with it as long as it runs on the player.

Rating: 8/10

Conclusion:

Vishal Bhardwaj’s music albums sell like hot cakes from the music stands and this one too has equal potential to ignite the market with oomph. It can safely be called the best music album of 2009 so far. Book your copy now.
