Cast: Govinda, Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Genelia D’ Souza and Prachi Desai
Music: Pritam
Rummy Jaffery’s Life Partner is out now for the entertainment of the cinegoers, who were eagerly waiting for the release due to Givinda and Fardeen Khan in particular. Besides these two stars, the movie also features Tusshar Kapoor, Genelia D’ Souza and Prachi Desai in the lead. The buzz about the movie was clearly missing before the release. Thus it leaves the viewer on the state as to what he/she is going to watch in the hall. Suspicions aside, the film is no doubt entertaining and interesting. Apparently it seems as if it is a nonsensical comedy but in actual it claims to be a family oriented picture.

The movie peeks into the lives of two couples – one who believes in love marriage and the other who believes in arranged marriage. While you stay with the film, you get surprised as the director incorporates vignettes from real life.
The flick certainly entertains you all through and sends laughs on your face. It helps you hooked all through the film. The climax is an utter wet blanket. Since it contains no buzz at all, nonetheless it appears to be a pleasant journey for the viewer. When you leave the hall, a smile stays on your face. This is what Life Partner is all about.
Karan (Fardeen Khan) and Sanjana (Genelia D’Souza) are crazily in love with each other. Now to strengthen their love bond, next step is marriage. But is ‘love marriage’ the right way to be?

For Bhavesh [Tusshar Kapoor], his Life Partner, Prachi (Prachi Desai), comes with the approval of his family. But is ‘arranged marriage’ the way forward? Does it appear right to prioritize family over marriage? Does Prachi have to prove herself as a worthy daughter-in-law to qualify as an ideal wife?
Jeet (Govinda) is a capable divorce lawyer. He does not believe in the institution of marriage. He is often held responsible for his getting his clients divorced. But is ‘no marriage’ a right policy for him? Will he even find a partner in life?
‘Life Partner’ talks about the saga of three main protagonists, who struggle on marital race but they all take different routes. This enterprise is laced with a simple story but marvelously executed in a simplistic style on screen. The director does not play with your mind rather comes to the point in the beginning. The viewers very easily understand the proceedings.

In the initial reels, the funny incidents happen and please you in full. The interval point turns the movie towards seriousness. It is swaddled with a shocking element that leaves you yearning for the second half. The post interval portion appears to be more real as the two marriages land into crisis. The director depicted all this on the screen with much ease.
The climax is not a thing to talk big since it disappoints you. The writer should have brought some other conclusion than the one that is shown in the movie.
Rumy Jaffery deserves huge applauds since the direction is superb. Yunus Sajwal’s screen play is a work of art. Niranjan Iyengar writes good dialogues. Sameer Arya’s cinematography is splendid. South Africa’s locales are eye-candy. The music is a disappointment since it appears to be just about okay.
Govinda is classy. He shows his rich experience of acting. Fardeen Khan impresses with his style of acting. Tusshar Kapoor is a treat to watch. Genelia D’Souza is improving with every film. She is fabulous. Prachi Desai excels in the role. Anupam Kher is pretty average. He does not appear to be the one, that he is in actual. Rest of the cast fits the bill as well.
On the whole, ‘Life Partner’ is potentially a good entertainer. Watch it.
